The Vessel Arrest DHED — Displacement Hull Entanglement Device — addresses a specific and significant challenge in maritime security: stopping or slowing large vessels underway where conventional approaches are insufficient. Made from high-strength fibres, the DHED can be quickly deployed while underway, wrapping around a vessel's propeller to disable manoeuvrability.
